Summer Bridge is a program open to children already enrolled at CAC and to those who are only seeking summer services. The Summer Bridge Program is meant to "bridge" the gap between the end of one school year and the beginning of the next. The program is divided into age/grade groups with targeted domains, including academics, social skills, summer outdoor activities, and team building activities. This program is not billable through insurance. We keep the costs as low as possible to encourage participation. Participants pay weekly at the beginning of the week and only for weeks attended.
Groups meet 2-3 times per week for 2-4 hours each time. Groups may meet at our North or South locations.
A parent/guardian interview occurs prior to the first day of the program. Participants must have certain prerequisite skills to attend independently. The typical ratio is 2-3 clients for every one staff member and the program is supervised by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst or Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst. Any child who does not have the prerequisite skills may require a 1:1 assistant at the parents' expense.
In the event of severe maladaptive behaviors (continual elopement, high intensity aggression or self-injury), the child may be discharged from the group program and referred to our traditional ABA services.
Information for each run of the Summer Bridge Program will appear by March of the same year. Enrollment is limited, so apply early!
