Is there an enrollment fee?

There is a $25 non-refundable enrollment fee. 

How do I arrange to tour your facility?

Call our friendly staff at 260-459-6040 and ask to schedule a tour or use our Take a Tour form.

How do you evaluate progress?

Most children's programs are evaluated for progress on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. Progress is measured daily in graph form.  Reports are provided monthly.

Do you offer additional support services such as speech therapy?

We have two speech therapists on our team.

How do you address social skills in your setting?

We have social skills groups based on the child's age and programming goals. Typical peers participate in our groups. 

Do you offer home-based services?

Yes, based on recommendations from our BCBAs.

How do you accommodate my child if he/she an alternate placement?

Generalization of programs into various community settings, such as a public school, day care, etc. is important. We feel that a collaborative approach is the most effective. We will attend meetings, train staff, and offer ongoing support if appropriate.

What are some other sources of funding?

Private fundraising, Medicaid, Children’s Special Health Care Services, United Health Care Grant, and scholarships.

Does medical insurance cover ABA therapy?

Yes, under the guidelines of the Indiana Autism Insurance Mandate, almost all insurance companies must provide coverage for applied behavior analysis services.

Are you a year-round facility?

Yes, we are open year-round, 8:30am-5:30pm Monday thru Friday. We are closed for the following holidays: New Year's Day, Good Friday at noon, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve (if a weekday), and Christmas Day. 

What client population do you serve?

Children’s Autism Center serves any children of any age with the need for behavior modification, language skills, social skills or any symptom described in the Autism Spectrum Disorder in the DSM-V.

Does my child have to have a diagnosis of autism to come to your center?

Autism/ADHD/ADD/Down syndrome and related communication and developmental disorders are our scope of practice.  The autism diagnosis in Indiana may provide for insurance coverage of this evidence-based practice.
